EJ Kavounas is a writer living in Los Angeles. His short story Soiling the Nest was sold to Infinite Worlds magazine and appears in Edition #11 published in 2022. A reprint of this story was purchased by Amazing Stories and published March 4, 2024. He has other stories being considered by different markets.

He spent a year as a volunteer teacher in Thailand and worked on the television series Babylon 5. Most of EJ’s career has been in finance, having climbed the ranks of a major investment bank from lowly Associate to Managing Director. He has a deep expertise in economics, real estate, debt, equity, and entrepreneurship. He produced the feature film Hero Mode in 2021 starring Mira Sorvino and Sean Astin. And he is the Co-Writer and Executive Producer of the science fiction limited series audio drama Broken Road on Apple podcasts, Spotify, and everywhere else podcasts are available.

A graduate of Middlebury College and The Bread Loaf Writers Conference, EJ also holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an associate member of the SFWA.
